Sell tomorrow's bake tonight.
Bake exactly what was ordered.
When the shop closes, BakeAhead keeps selling: customers reserve from a menu you choose for pickup in tomorrow's window, and you wake up to a production count instead of a guess.

After closing, customers reserve tomorrow's bake and pay.
A bakery's hardest number is how much to bake.
Too little and the regulars leave empty-handed. Too much and it goes in the bin at close. Pre-orders turn the first half of tomorrow's bake from a forecast into a list — already paid for, already counted.
Your shop is closed. Your storefront doesn't have to be.
01 / After closing
Open after closing.
When you close for the day, customers who visit your storefront are offered tomorrow's bake instead of a closed sign.
They choose from the items you've made available for pre-order, pay, and collect in tomorrow's pickup window.
While you're open, customers can choose tomorrow's pickup at checkout too.

02 / Members
The Midnight Club.
The pre-order menu is for your members — customers with an account at your shop — which makes it a reason to sign up, not just a way to order.
Pre-ordered items can carry a saving you set, so ordering ahead is rewarded rather than just allowed.

03 / The count
Wake up to a count, not a forecast.
BakeAhead adds up every paid pre-order for a bake day into one production list — each item, and how many, most-ordered first — and prints it for the bakehouse wall.
Look ahead to tomorrow, check today's, or go back over what a past bake day sold. The list is built from the orders themselves, so it's never out of date.

04 / Standby
Its own queue, for its own morning.
Pre-orders don't join the daytime queue. They wait in a standby list of their own, so the morning's walk-ins and last night's orders never tread on each other.
They don't count towards how busy the counter looks, either — a big overnight bake never makes the next customer's ready time longer.

05 / Pickup
Handed over by code.
When the pickup window opens, the counter tablet switches to morning mode: today's pre-orders move to the top of the queue, and a customer's order code finds theirs in a second.
Handing it over is the same moment as any other order: your stock is taken down, the sale is in your books, and the loyalty points land.

06 / Your call
Your window, your items.
You set tomorrow's collection window and choose, item by item, what can be pre-ordered. Everything else is simply not offered.
Turn BakeAhead on or off from Store Open / Closed whenever you like. It sits on top of your opening hours; it doesn't change them.

Thought through, underneath
Only what can wait.
Nothing special-cased.
How a basket is kept honest, and why a pre-order is just an order.
Only the items that can wait.
An item that can't be made ahead is never offered for tomorrow, and a basket that mixes the two is caught before checkout — so nobody pays for a pickup you can't make.
The same system underneath.
Pre-orders are ordinary orders with a bake day attached. Payments, refunds, receipts, loyalty and your financial records all treat them exactly the same way.
